The LSU Tigers have moved up one slot in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, coming in at #7.
After a truly dominant performance over Clemson in week one, LSU struggled in the first half against Louisiana Tech, leading just 10-7 at the half. The Tigers pulled away for a 45-14 win, and the Poll recognized that as LSU jumped up one more spot.
The Tigers again got a first-place vote, but Texas’ huge comeback win over Ohio State vaulted them to the new #1 spot, receiving 56 first-place votes.
LSU’s next opponent, the Ole Miss Rebels, moved into the #8 spot ahead of what is now a top ten clash in Oxford. All eyes will be on the Tigers and Rebels in Lane Kiffin’s return to Mississippi.
