LSU listed in Top 10 of Women’s Basketball Preseason Rankings

LSU women’s basketball gained early recognition in the 2026 Preseason Polls, placing them in the Top 10. The Tigers sit in the #9 spot, ahead of the Iowa Hawkeyes and UCLA Bruins. They are also the fourth-highest ranked SEC program behind South Carolina (No. 1), Texas (No. 6), and Vanderbilt (No. 8).

Coach Kim Mulkey’s group will return to the hardwood after finishing the 2025-26 season with 29 wins, earning them a #2 seed and a Sweet 16 finish in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers have made it that far in the tournament or better in each of the last four years, dating back to them winning the National Championship in the 2022-23 season.

LSU’s first game will be on Monday, November 2nd when the Bayou Bengals host the Southeastern Louisiana Lions in the PMAC. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM, and the action will be played on Mustang 107.1.
